I’ve come about the site’s Patreon.
 
I recently decided to donate a little for the site, but I noticed that the Patreon badge has been put on my 2nd Stanislas account. Now, I wanted to know if it was possible that it was on this account, Berry Punch?
 
I also understood why Stan received it, it’s because he uses the same e-mail for Patreon and for Furbooru ^^’
 
(If I have two accounts, it’s because I love Berry Punch, and I wanted to have fun on this site with her. But I created Stanislas, my real nickname, to link the property of my OCs)

Hey all, never expected to join this site but things are looking better than a certain site, so I think I’ll slowly move over here. I saw that the derpi 2020 collab was uploaded and I was tagged under “artist:th3bluerose” and while I’d like that tag tied to my account NorthernDawn, I don’t want any art that was uploaded under “artist:th3bluerose” uploaded here beyond the collab. I’m trying to move away from that name as an artist name and would like only art from my NorthernDawnArt account uploaded here.  
I understand that the site is still new and things will take time, but I’d like to talk to a staff member about my DNP and tags as soon as someone is available.

As seen with the utter mess derpi is STILL in.  
I have a genuine concern that the mod team here will end up causing something simular, with them sharing simular roles in derpiboru.
 
I know Rule 5 bans intolerant content, but considering the inconsistent rulings by the mods on derpi without any feed back there is a concern.
 
I’d argue that there should be a clear framework for the mods to work from than vague self interpretation. Any moderation or rejection of a report ought to contain the reason WHY the mod decided it and a means to appeal the decision. (especially an explanation why the comment/upload breaks the rule cited).
 
TLDR: concern over constancy & transparency over moderation.

When LightningBolt Uploads on Furbooru

There are currently 22 images tagged with both safe and suggestive. This was caused by some tags being changed while recovering from Monday night’s glitch
 
Unfortunately, fixing this requires modifying the tags in the database, due to a glitch where the system gets confused when two ratings tags are present at the same time (editing them the normal way will say that there’s no ratings tags). Could someone provide a list of which of the double-tagged images are safe and which are suggestive? I can then use that to correct the issue in the database.

Hello all! So I’ve been reading the rules and I curious about how this part of Rule #0 would be interpreted:
 

 
So the obvious interpretation of this rule is to not call other users slurs in comments or make image posts calling other users/groups slurs/demeaning names. Some questions: What about fetish content where one character is calling another character mean names, and what about fetish content with no slurs/demeaning names, but it contains abuse? And what about consensual degradation? And what about non-fetish content that depicts abuse, such as a parent emotionally/physically abusing their child?

This was a large part of the “avoiding going the way of Derpi” thread, about not allowing Nazi nonsense on this site, and I think Rule 5 probably could be expanded for perfect clarity. I would suggest changing:

I added a religion clause because religion is a protected class in the US, and religion is often a proxy for race (particularly Judaism and/or Islam)

Hello, and grab your insulin, ‘cause it’s time to tackle the Tags of Cute!
 
I think every furry can agree that cute things are cute. And therefore this tag is useful and precious and won’t be going anywhere. But also, as anyone who was kind enough to click the lovely purple text can see, there are a lot of ways in which something or someone can be cute.
 
So, we’re going to have even more cute tags! Oh, sure, there’ll be all the boring and well-defined tags like puppy dog eyes and cuddling and tail bite and sploot … but cute’s subjective, and we’re going to need some subjective tags to describe them all.
 
But just because the tags are subjective doesn’t mean we want to go all willy-nilly in naming them! Just look at this: We’ve got a tag for characters with cute designs, we’ll need a tag for cute behavior, and we’ll surely need a tag for things that are just too goshdarned cute period. Maybe those artists are just trying to murder us…
 
…and no one can make up their minds on the formula for wording these tags!
 
See, the one thing we don’t want is for this to get entirely out of control. Every character doesn’t need a “-betes” tag, we just need one tag for cute characters. So, if we decided we were going to use the word “adorable,” it’d be “adorable character,” “adorable behavior,” “unreasonably adorable,” “this will end in adorableness,” and so on. If instead things were gonna give you diabetes, you’d have “diabetes-inducing character,” “diabetes-inducing behavior,” “op is trying to give you diabetes,” etc. Or we could be boring and say it’s a cute character with cute behavior because things are just weapons-grade cute.
 
What do you think? If it were up to you, what names would you come up with for these tags? There are no wrong answers, just answers we’re not gonna pick, so get creative! Quickly, though, because we’re going to Make a Decision™️ before this gets too out of hand.

Hello all. As someone who has used both Derpibooru and e621 in the past, I’m wondering what the point of this site is if e621 exists. Cos, e621 already allows pony content and already has a lot of furry content. Is there something that makes this website a lot different, besides its use of Philomena?

So I’ve been thinking about it lately: I’m probably one of the oldest furries still active in the fandom. As most of you probably know, I joined more or less officially in 1997 and drew art up until roughly the mid-2010s. But I’m curious to know if all of the members here are the “next generation” of furries – people who are probably young enough to be my offspring – or if there are still some of the old guard floating around.
 
Here’s a little test to see if you are. Okay, so, on Derpi, piss has no set rating, so I gathered up images that can fall under all of them, and I’ll showcase them, and explain why, and then define piss related tags so all of them can get descriptions and I would appreciate some help with the ratings and definitions too.
 
I want to note right here that the catch-all tag for all of this is urine and NOT watersports as the latter is for all sexual and fetish related piss. Watersports will never be safe or suggestive, and it does not even really need to be tagged as all sexual piss acts imply it.

I feel like these apply okay to safe because they are minimally detailed, show off nothing even remotely sexual or nude, and are not over the top or too fetishized. Feel free to debate these points tho!

I feel these all apply to suggestive as they have more detail/urine than the above and lean more fetishy, one of them having heavier omorashi elements. They still don’t show any nudity or genitalia hints.
 
Questionable examples:  
 
I feel these are all questionable because they either show off genital bulges through clothes or unarounsed nudity and are more fetishized.
 
Explicit examples:  
 
I only have one explicit example that I didn’t think applied to anything lower as that is a clear erection and more touching. it’s hard to get wetting to be anything explicit as it’s fairly tame.

Several of these have omorashi elements, and right now omorashi implies depseration and I am unsure if those should be aliased or not, the former implies the latter on Derpi too.

I’ve been a wee bit of a furry ever since about late 2012, but I’ve been much moreso lately. However, I actually was fapping to yiff here and there ever since about 2008 when I was 14.
 
The thing is, I don’t know how many people actually get off to yiff or if I’m just a weirdo in the minority. Also, I don’t always do that, but, ya know, it’s kinda the main purpose for me I guess. I heard that most furries don’t and that it’s mostly a way for the artists and people who commission it to express themselves. I’ve done that too a couple times, but again, it’s mostly just fapping material for me.
 
So I was wondering- what is most people’s primary purpose for yiff?

…IF the last art of any kind I drew was in 2018, and the last time I put out more than a few sketches a year was 8 years ago, in 2012? I don’t think that makes me an artist anymore, I think that just makes me an old man holding on to glory from years past and trying to milk his old work for attention. It’s a difficult position to be in.

I realize we’re still early in this site’s life, but I think this place has potential to really explode. A good way to meet that ahead of time would be to expand the forums imo.
 
Instead of having every off topic discussion fall under general where things get lost, why not intro new sections for things like video games, anime, and movies? It would help the community grow and find topics relevant to us easier.
