After a bit of consideration, we’ve decided to launch our very own Mastodon instance (well, Akkoma actually, but same thing really, yay fediverse).

It’s meant to be a place for our users to dip their paws (and other limbs) into the fediverse, seeing how Twitter has basically been steadily killing itself for the last few months, and especially lately (thanks Elon). You’ll need a separate account on the site (we don’t sync Furbooru accounts with it, but we may introduce integrations, and a name-squatting policy), but everyone is welcome to join! If you got a friend who has been wanting to get into the fediverse, they may register there as well!

Use hashtags. Mastodon users follow hashtags to find content they like, meaning that without hashtags your post is as good as completely gone. They use Twitter-style hashtags, so an average picture of a wolf character would potentially have the following hashtags: #art #sfw #furry #furryart #furryartwork #wolf

Foxy Social is entirely opt-in, you don’t have to use it if you don’t want to, and it doesn’t pull any of your private data from Furbooru.

We will introduce the ability to instantly repost your Foxy Social image upload to Furbooru (provided you enter Furbooru-style tagging). We will also have a bot to post hourly/daily/weekly top scoring images from Furbooru as a convenient Twitter-style feed. We’re currently dipping our paws into this and are ourselves not entirely certain of the intricate inner workings of the Fediverse.

Right now there’s no clean way to do so, but there will be in the future. In the meantime, you can edit your profile and add your Furbooru profile link to it!

I am currently a Janitor. I am seeking to become an apprintice in instrument and sound equipment repair.

Which has recently began to go uphill for me. Found a piano tuner who is married to an organ repair man. According to my local music shop he was known to work on synthesizer instruments.

I am actually curiuos as to who all does clean their bed fuzzies. I persionally make it a project every six months. The way I do it takes time.

Typically I tear a seam and remove all the stuffing. After turning it inside out I fix any weakened seams or holes. After blanket stitching the tear I make I throw it in the laundry. After its clean I put new fiber fill in and stitch it shut.

I sleep with store purchased ones. I imagine this may not be easy with hand made custom ones. So, I am curious how every one else cleans theirs or if they do so this intensively.

As some of you may know, our pony counterpart site Derpibooru is doing a site-wide point-based game. Furbooru staff would like to know if you’d like something like that to be ran on Furbooru as well. Not within the constraints of April Fools or anything, but just as a fun event with badge rewards on the line.

The reason I’ve not ran it on Furbooru so far was because running it on Derpibooru is very stressful by itself, and requires a lot of effort on my end. Managing it for both sites would have been too stressful for me. I can run the event on Furbooru after it concludes on Derpibooru.

First off I am seeing a therapist. So, if I seem dark in this know I have some one to help me. I honestly just need a point in the correct direction.

I consider my art and writing my calling. With that said… I been in cross fire between secular and Christian culture. My heart goes out to those of you in a similar situation. Its incredibly hard to be Christian in the craft of art and writing.

The only friends I have are work related. I don’t know exactly why I can’t find artist and or writers willing to hang out. I devoted most of my house to craft and technical craft. The moments where I broke down I ended up destroying my budget upon extra craft materials. Basically in hopes if I had it friendships would begin.

When trying to form friendships by showing my art I get one of three reactions. One is they admire my art, but no friendship begins. Two they think I am crazy for having a wonderland. Three they think I am a hardcore legalistic Christian.

I fight self destructive thoughts over this. Every dark epesode leads to this conclusion. My books will never have a chance if I gave up on my life now. I just feel stuck at times. Like the only meaningful friendships I have are imaginary. My furry and otherwise characters are the only ones with me. A figment of my imagination because they always are there. Where else do they have to go?

I went ahead and got me a Crunchy Roll account. I watched Linkin Parks new song Lost in the Echo. The music video sort of led me to a new sort of thing. Was totally taken by the fox character in White Rabbit. Seeing that its new I sort of went with Crunchy Roll to get me into anime. In the past I watched Naruto.

Hope I make sense here. I might be just need a coin toss on what I should start with……

I have been uploading images from an artist who has two separate accounts that they wish to keep separate (since one contains niche NSFW artwork). Part of rule 8 says that, in situations like this, Furbooru users should not “call [the artist] out or publicly highlight such a fact.”
However, the artist draws the same OC on both accounts, which creates a problem for tagging. If I follow the standard OC name (artist name) format, then I’d need to choose one of their usernames for the tag and use it for images from both accounts, which could count as “publicly highlighting” their existence. What do I do here?
