Science time for us!
My mom has been all about RFK Jr lately, naturally. I recently learned he wants to ban the use of fluoride in our water, and your amoeba thing had me wondering whether fluoride counteracts amoebas. It doesn’t, but I found this:
This is Dr. Greger, the only source that vegan person cited when I was arguing with them. Finding himself on the same side as a guy who drove around with a bear carcass in the back of his car and a guy whose son’s trophy hunt is not a good look. We already know that banning vaccines leads to terrible outcomes, as that’s how polio has been able to make small comebacks. I could sense there was something off about this Dr. Greger fellow, particularly because the vegan didn’t give me any sources that weren’t from him.
He has some stuff on his site that comes off as very anti-chemo, and the whole implication of our argument seemed to be that I could simply change my diet to survive. They weren’t saying sensible things such as “Going vegan might be good for you”, they claimed they were, “Saving my life”. So, sure, you can say I overreacted and I wouldn’t disagree with you, but they were dogmatically insisting on what was best for me with regards to cancer. You know, that disease I’ve had for an entire decade and have been studying for as long, that I see a bunch of doctors about? And, when I calmly told them oh, I can’t go vegan because I do have the health issue mentioned in one of the very links they sent me, they refused to listen to that and kept dogmatically sending me links. Hopefully, that helps contextualize why I ended up having such a strong negative reaction to the whole mess.
Back onto the amoeba path:

So, we learn that there is an extremely high likelihood that your water is safe, and that it’s only if it gets in your nose that you even have to worry! Additionally, swimming pools are typically treated with chlorine, so should be safe ::3
Sorry for not spending very long talking about the amoebas, but that’s all I can think of to say rn. Hopefully helps you feel better >^_^<
Back to the Dr. Greger path:

Seems he’s got a decent amount of good knowledge we can learn from, but he’s also a cherry-picker and is bought and funded by many animal rights groups. Some animal rights groups do take things too far, such as PETA with their mass euthanasia of the animals in their shelters compared to all other shelters.
The big takeaway here is to always maintain skepticism, no matter how appealing that source may seem on the surface. Seeing what others say about the person is a great way to learn what their shortcomings are and where the balance lies.

I don’t know what to do, I feel so dreadful. I’m afriad something is about to happen to me after going on Vacation for three days, I showered three times now with groundwater. Now I’m thinking about this goddamn brain eating amoeba coming there and kill for the next five days.

Actually, my brain’s pretty lacking in chill in general today. And I know why. Sigh… I just want them to end for good. The last thing I need, on top everything, is 20 more years of these severe mood destabilizers. Lately I’ve been wondering if there are other options for ending them - I wanna curl up and cry when I think about how I got extremely nauseous when I tried birth control, so I don’t even get to do that option. This is suffering. I need out.
Remember, however: I am meeting with doctors in order to get this figured out. I am working towards taking care of this problem. It’s just taking forever, and my brain is literally hurting in the meantime.

May they stay safe 💚 I know how you feel, I’ve had buddies raise my anxiety to the extreme when they would have depressive episodes. Things seem to be much calmer with them as of late afaik, which is good! Gives me the chance to focus on finally having low anxiety when it’s been through the roof for all of my adult life. Rewiring my brain is gonna take time, and I can have relapses, but I’m getting there. And so, so proud of my buddies for holding on and still being here. It’s hard for us strong ones to stay strong when our friends worry us to our core, but keep staying strong if you can, because your buddy needs you.

Aquaphobia is a symptom of rabies too, which is also obviously very bad. Hmm… it makes me wonder if there is any correlation between rabies and a brain-eating amoeba. Finding a cure for rabies would be MASSIVE, and purrhaps the meaning of your dream is simply a glimpse into the future of medical science and purrhaps a cure for rabies will be found! Scary dreams don’t necessarily mean bad things. Interestingly, I just contracted rabies again in a SIM game I’ve been playing, so the disease has been on my mind.
I’m drawing a blank on further advice, though. Be careful, don’t go swimming, and keep me updated if you have more dreams!

I had these dreams where all start when I was food poisoned then I became paranoid afterwards, suffering aquaphobia, over course of those weeks, I am been worrying and imagining those thoughts of PAM infection in my workplace in and out. I dreamt going to the village and swimming in a pool and getting an infection and die. I don’t know but it’s becoming scary.

I don’t know if those are available in my country, and I’m going into a different province, a rural village to be exact, I don’t trust the waters there since they source from ground water that haven’t been filtered. I also had these deja reve dreams about just boardcasting last three to four weeks of my life, how it is alarming they depict my future so vividly, it makes scared an inevitable fate will occur to me, dying from the amoeba.

Someone tries to intimidate me or disrespect, it plays out like a Rambo film, fire burns from the bottom of totem polls.

The interesting thing is, in a couple of my depressive episodes earlier this year, I felt very drawn to suicide by car. And we all know which state I live in by now.
This is how it’s gone so many times - I’m driven to think and say extreme things, only to find out there was a reason for it way, way after the fact. I think things are calming down, finally, but it’s been one hell of a rough year. Especially when I keep having to apologize after and feel like absolute shit 🙃
And just so you feel less alone, I’m also in the in pain all the time club!

I attempted suicide because I couldn’t find work in California, for twenty years now I’ve been in pain.
On the way home there was a ramp, I was riding an old beach cruiser, the back tire caught the platform at about six feet, my blood was orange in the sunlight, I felt no pain, I landed face first on the blacktop and completely smashed my upper torso.

On a brighter note, anyone remember months and months ago, when I talked about a guy who was so distraught over not having a job, he was kinda hard to try and help? Well, he’s actually been nice to jump into some more down-to-earth conversation with this morning. That’s why I prefer keeping people around rather than kicking them out - you’ll usually get helped by them in return, and it’s the kind and loving path we need more of in the world ::3

Do you live in an area that sorely lacks clean water? The fact that my health concerns have all recently been proven true, including one that came to mind not long after I started chemo a decade ago, has me now worried about this happening to you.
I’m not sure what other solutions there may be, but for now, keep being careful. Keep your faith strong - there’s a high chance that a guardian angel is watching over you ::3

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
