I believe this was an intentional change by the developers as some phones did not display that section properly when they were shown horizontal.

Did that work? If not, PM me the name of the person you were having the conversation with and a statement saying I have your consent to modify your PMs in the database, and I can unhide it.

What error message do you get? And what name are you trying to use?

This is still a fairly young site with only a handful of highly active users so far. As the site grows, activity will grow with it.
 
Commenting also isn’t the most widely used interaction either. Look at Derpibooru for example - there were 2014 images uploaded in the past three days, but only 984 have comments on them. Of those, only 568 have more than one comment.
 
E621 is an even more extreme example - I don’t know how to get exact image counts on that site, but there were 52 pages of images uploaded in the past few days. Only 14 pages of images have comments, and only 7 pages have more than one comment.

There’s a lot of tags for fur color (like blue fur), and a lot for body color as well (like blue body).
 
Anyone have thoughts on the “<x> fur” tags implying “<x> body”? I would imagine that if a character has purple fur, for example, they’d have a purple body too.

There are currently 22 images tagged with both safe and suggestive. This was caused by some tags being changed while recovering from Monday night’s glitch
 
Unfortunately, fixing this requires modifying the tags in the database, due to a glitch where the system gets confused when two ratings tags are present at the same time (editing them the normal way will say that there’s no ratings tags). Could someone provide a list of which of the double-tagged images are safe and which are suggestive? I can then use that to correct the issue in the database.

I’m not sure what the deal with that image is. I believe someone copied all the original tags from Derpibooru, and then a lot of them got removed since they had no other images on the site. There’s other people better suited to answer that than I.

There was a bug discovered with one of the staff tools (bulk-reverting tag changes on an image) that caused the site to delete nearly every tag off every image. The site went from having 236675 image_taggings to only 83, meaning that if you went through every image on the site, you’d find a grand total of 83 tags.
 
I’m currently the site’s backup sysadmin, basically around just to handle technical emergencies when the main tech person is offline. While Furbooru has automatic backups, the most recent one was several hours old, meaning that restoring from backup would’ve caused data loss on a few hundred images. Instead, after working with Philomena’s main developer, we were able to get the tag data from the search engine’s index (which was still intact), recovering tagging data for all but four images. >>8205 was one of the four that didn’t have any tag data, so I manually re-tagged that image (and the other three) from cache records.

Currently the software doesn’t have any mechanism to prevent users from using the anonymous function. It’s basically either just “banned” or “not banned”. I’m not sure such a feature would ever be added either - people frequently abusing such functionality probably should just be banned, in my opinion.

I agree - auto moderation always seems like a bad idea. There’s very few things that are such an emergency that they cannot wait for a human to review it and make a decision.

I feel like Scalie and Avian definitely have a place - those are two major sub-genres of the furry fandom, and people may want to search for (or filter) Scalie or Avian specific art in one fell swoop.
 
I also feel that fictional-vs-real shouldn’t be a factor. A prime example of this is dragons - dragons are not real creatures (at least not the big, winged, fire-breating kind), but they’re still one of the largest species in the Scalie fandom. It wouldn’t make sense for the Scalie tag to feature stuff like lizards and alligators, but exclude dragons simply because dragons are fictional.

Pride is not politics. I highly doubt that pride related tags would ever be hidden/spoilered by the default filter.

I think allowing anonymous activity on the site has a lot of advantages. A main one is anonymity - people may like stuff and want to comment on something but not necessarily attach their name to it (especially fetishes and such), or they may just be overly conscious about their privacy and don’t want their username too visible on the site but would still like to post and upload.
 
Sure it’s got the potential for abuse, but people can just as easily register fake accounts and abuse that as well.

Derpibooru is still (and will remain) our primary site under the metaphorical umbrella.
 
Remember that Derpibooru is a fairly old site (launching January 2012), and some of us have been staff members for over half a decade. After all this time, we’ve pretty much gotten this whole “booru” thing down pat enough that we’re comfortable managing two of them without loosing focus on either.

Just a FYI - some issues may take a little while to get resolved because of other happenings that are being happened. These issues are being noted and will be looked at before the official launch

Staff policies in regards to DNPs are still a work in progress.

Furbooru’s not officially open yet, so they probably don’t know about it.
