I think I’m not even going to vote this year. They know my demographic and why I’m not voting. I don’t think writing a reasonable candidate in the blank is even going to help anything.

My grandma is still here, but my best friend lost his great aunt and his cousin due to covid-19, and I’m worried with all the covidiots in my neck of the woods that my grandma is gonna be next… Seriously, my state is 5th worst in the nation and my county is 3rd in the state… People give me dirty looks for walking around wearing a gas mask, but it ain’t funny when you know you coild lose the people closest to you.

I’m sorry you lost your grandmother. That can be very painful - I hope you and your family are doing ok.

Actually, to avoid further conflict, and because people here really don’t want to know what I really think about this situation, I’m going to not say anything further on the topic.

I’m still walking around with a sign that says, “You killed my grandma” and a picture of her after the funeral to show to maskholes if she gets this and passes. It’s getting really bad in my area again.

Many of those countries aren’t testing or reporting like we are, so we don’t really know.

I know what you mean, but if you think about it, it’s practically our virus now. I think you can count the number of countries with higher per capita covid-19 deaths than us on one hand, especially if you don’t count outliers from countries with tiny populations to begin with. Only Peru and Chile and a couple others have higher death counts than us, last time I checked, and even though they have millions of people, they’re still very small compared to us.

Yep, though last I checked, they had gone dormant on any further discussion of that with the public. Same with the military. Actually, I take that back, if I remember correctly, I had read part of a statement saying they “hadn’t ruled it out,” that it was “an ongoing investigation,” and that it was “one of two remaining possible origins, after (they) determined the 3rd one, being actually engineered rather than accidentally released by the lab, ‘not a scientifically accurate or viable theory.’”

The US state department believes it was from the Wuhan Lab as well.

SARS-CoV-2, the disease that causes Covid-19, has nothing to do with the wet market.

I don’t know about that buddy. You sound ignorant, because there are actually hundreds of wet markets in the United States where animals are sold alive and sometimes slaughtered for purchase.
 
It most likely came from a cave back in 2013.
 
Then it was brought to the lab practically across the street in Wuhan for study, and escaped. I can’t find it at the moment, but there’s more evidence out there besides what I linked as well.
 
Anywho, by now it’s practically an open and shut case, but the media fought a war on this theory and it seems like everyone has forgotten to keep investigating and pressuring them for answers lately. We need to hold them accountable for their lab security/safety failure because China hasn’t learned from their mistakes when they’ve had other lab accidents before, and we need to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Everybody makes mistakes, but they have to be made to learn from them. This is the mistake of century.

This would never have happened if filthy, open-air lifestock “markets” weren’t allowed in what is supposedly a first-world nation. You don’t see shit like that in the U.S. for a very good reason. And no that’s not racist, that’s the truth.

Political correctness aside, I mean, I could wear a MAGA hat here in CA and honestly not many people would care. I’m just sick of the dirtiness, expense, cost of living, and ridiculous Gun laws. Montana is waiting for me. My quiet secluded little paradise.

Well you’re not like that though. I mean, you have legitimate reasons and issues with the democratic establishment and people being politically correct for the sake of policital correctness. That’s different than people who complain about treating people who are different than themselves like human beings.
 
There’s a difference between being “politically correct” by treating people nicely, like you want to be treated, and being “politically correct” by ignoring the truth and letting people be hypocrites, or being politically correct by not standing up for the right thing. It’s different when you’re politically incorrect for a just cause, like calling out someone’s bad behaviour even though they are well liked.
