(Brief Lore:)
In the year 2027, the world was bathed in a wide scale heat wave. The sun scorched a the vastness of the planet. The oceans of the world were all but evaporated. What few bodies of water that remained became precious resources. Billions died as a result of widespread heat stroke and dehydration.
2028 marked the end of the heatwave. By then, approximately 95% of the worlds population had perished. What remained of civilized earth practically became an empty wasteland overnight. What little remained banded together in small groups or tribes.
2030, rumors of a massive lake like oasis somewhere in the midst of what was once the Atlantic Ocean. Those familiar with the rumor called it the High Oasis. By this time, numerous tribes and groups had conglomerated into three different major factions. The Caspian Coalition was the first, a mostly Russian group that originated from the Eurasian wasteland. They possessed many forms of the old military. Then there was the Enlightenment, a heavily misogynistic faction that was focused entirely around the acquiring of all the water that remained in the world. They worshipped a deity they dubbed Aquarius. They were fierce and were known to torch entire tribes even over the smallest gallon of water. Finally, there was the Northern Tide, made of what remained of the militaries of the United States, France, the United Kingdoms, and Mexico, as well as a multitude of surviving tribes. They make use of the remains of their military equipment as well as other souped up machines, making use of other much older technologies from much older times, such as World War II. They only seek to unify whats left of the Earths Population and begin civilization anew. Each faction sought to stake claim to this High Oasis, however, no one mobilized just yet.
2032, the rumors of the High Oasis were confirmed true by an unknown source. The three factions now mobilized to claim the Oasis for themselves, for he who controls the water, controls it all.
The year is now 2034, the three factions are now locked in a deadly conflict for control of the High Oasis. You are a part of an Elite squad of Northern Tide soldiers, tasked with seeking out the true location of the High Oasis. The journey is long, and the fight will be tough. Are you ready?
(Steel Sands is primarily an rp that focuses on a group of characters that are a part of the Northern Tide, they can be any species and, while anthro is recommended, it is not required. You can fully expect there to be varied degrees of Violence, Death, Blood and Guts. The rp will start when there are at least other 3 people present.
