It’s just animated plant, not a mammal. I’m not even sure it should be canine, but I guess it looks like one.

There are characters that are part timber wolves and part ponies/normal wolves (only limbs from wood), they should get the mammal tag.
mismagius -> ghost, undead, fictional species
This is a Pokemon and I wouldn’t know unless I googled it, please check when listing :P
narwhal -> cetecean, mammal, whale
It’s not a whale unless we also tag dolphins as “whale”.

And, they’re not whales? I could have sworn…ok
They kind of are, but if we tag them “whales” then dolphins would be “whales” too. Cetacens are divided between baleen whales (Mysticeti) and toothed whales (Odontoceti), so all Cetacens are whales, there would be no point using this tag if we tagged every cetacen as whale.

But I guess this definiton could be applied, the informal meaning of whale:

so. the kemonomimi tags
 
i think there’s an easier way to go about specific kemonomimi tags without creating endless tags like “catgirl”, “catboy”, “wolfgirl”, “doggirl” etc that are needlessly gendered.
 
i’ve been tagging with “(x) kemonomimi”, which i feel like can do the same thing but create less tags. (i.e. one can search for “cat kemonomimi, female”)
 
so we could have aliases (or implications if you want to keep them but i think they’re kind of unnecessary since they create two gendered tags for something we can easily just have one overall tag for, and the gendered tags have no unifying tag atm anyways)  
catgirl, catboy -> cat kemonomimi  
wolfgirl -> wolf kemonomimi  
doggirl -> dog kemonomimi
 
and then these tags that should imply kemonomimi and be brown:  
cat kemonomimi  
bird kemonomimi  
pig kemonomimi  
fox kemonomimi  
dog kemonomimi  
rabbit kemonomimi  
bear kemonomimi  
wolf kemonomimi  
scorpion kemonomimi  
moth kemonomimi

and for fictional (franchise based) species they should be as non-specific as possible and imply the fictional species so we dont get a million (x pokemon) kemonomimi tags:

pony kemonomimi -> kemonomimi, my little pony (yes i know ponies arent fictional but im putting it here for convenience)
 
also fictional kemonomimi species should imply the fitting general tag  
kitsune (fire emblem) -> fox kemonomimi  
wolfskin (fire emblem) -> wolf kemonomimi
 
i hope this post makes sense im a lil out of it rn but i think my idea makes sense? blegh

Seem reasonable to me.  
maybe the tag name of “kemonomimi” should be changed to be like on e621, into “animal humanoid” and then there would be “cat humanoid”, “dog humanoid”, etc. It will be way easier to remember.
