As i would like to point out my experience on derpibooru, the roleplay forums were better for having a “lobby area” thread, it had free discussion and the only real rule was to not spam it full with particularly brainless memes, that aside if the thread here is to run the same as before i think it will be a good thing, even if dave apparently tries to warn everyone not to go there because beware the jinx.
 
in that thread you could discuss new roleplays you may want to set up, get feedback and suggestions as well as test the waters for possible joiners, all things that would be helpful to find on the first page at the top
 
I think it should get pinned so that any newcomers to the roleplay forums can get a look at what the players talk about “behind the scenes.”

I recall you trying to enforce “your thread’s” rules on more than one occasion, even with moderators, as well as telling people to take certain things outside “your thread”.  
and yes, they were a mix, and that wasn’t a problem. it made things feel casual and open
 
as a side note, the moderators were called for reasons other than Dave, as can happen with rowdy discussion threads

you’re right, it isn’t. we want it to stay that way. despite how un-fun history tests were, we learn history so we don’t repeat it :P and I believe this applies here also

For those of you getting weird notifications for this thread, I’m using it to test something.

I have just finished version 0.1.0 of the furbooru crate for Rust! This will allow you to create Rust programs that interact with Furbooru (and by extension, Derpibooru)’s api in an efficient and type-safe manner.
 
Here’s an example for getting the image URL of this image:

Also I just realized I didn’t actually tell what’s going on. We are preparing things for an official launch, going over our rulesets, guidelines, every single page, low-key testing stuff, preparing back-end for a surge of users, and generally just doing work to ensure our launch isn’t a repeat of how Derpibooru launched.

Here is list of tags that I think should have a descriptions but I’m nut sure what this description should be or even what some of the tags here are for, so I can’t write them myself:
 
winking vs vulvar winking vs one eye closed - differences between those  
partial nudity - is this just common tag for bottomless and toples? And what about wardrobe malfunction?  
shipping - currently no description, should this be the same as on Derpi?  
speech bubble vs dialogue vs talking  
eeveelution - this needs a description to clarify what this is  
bra - does parts of bikini covering breasts count as this?  
And whats the difference between lingerie, panties and underwear? All should have a description.  
watermark - what’s a difference between this and a signature? If the watermark is just the artist name but written in semi-transparent capital letters is it signature and watermark at the same time?
 
grin vs smiling vs happy - differences?
 
fluffy - what is this exactly, it’s implied only by fluffy tail
 
intersex - this is an important tag so it needs a description
 
Why there is a tag called love heart but also another one called heart?

There is also tack, and from the implications (bridle, harness, lead) I could guess that it is meant to be this:
 

 

 
but harness on a parachutist or somebody who climbs mountains is not really connected to riding horses, so tack should not be implied by harness.
 
By the way on e621 there is a tag called bondage gear but it’s not implied by anything. You can use all the things used for bondage in a “normal” way after all.

I really like the purple interface, it’s a bit more unique and pleasant to the eye. While I like the concept of an ear as logo, the combination of colors and gradients make it a little bit difficult to discern what is it with this theme applied, which is the default now.
