I wouldn’t go for Furby and Furbi.

Also I think that the character deserves having at least two names. Such as a first and a last name, or something like “Nuzzles the Furball”. Or anything else more distinct. Of course only one part of it will be mostly used by people, but I’d like a full name, to give an existing example would be Miles “Tails” Prower, which is first, nick-, and last name.

I voted other, and came up with “Fuwane” - which I got from running the phrase “fluffy fox” through Google Translate into Japanese, getting “fuwafuwa kitsune” as a result, and deciding that that particular portmanteau sounded the best to me.
 
Or, if the whole “starry” aspect is more emphasized, I ran “starry fox” through Google Translate into Japanese, got “hoshizora kitsune” as a result, and came up with “Zorane”, which I’m not as happy with. (Maybe just “Zora”?)

I’ma go with astra. Like astronomical? Considering their color

I did mention that I chose for Fury (literally the one with the less amount of votes, heh). But Astra is a beautiful name if it ends up being that one.

Nuzzles sounds like the cutest name, but should their name be cute? Astra sounds like the coolest name, but should their name be cool? However, I chose Fury because I rolled a D10 and it came up 8.

Hardly. Just standard runoff voting actually. Rcv eliminates the lowest vote counts in order and has a higher chance of reaching the condorcet selection than fptp with a single runoff election.
 
That said it’s still vastly superior to fptp.
 
I am, however 100% an advocate for irv/rcv, and prefer it to approval voting, though both of them are preferable to fptp
