We do not believe there is a pressing need for more specific tags, we like to keep tagging as simple as it can be. The simpler it is - the better, since it lowers the learning curve, and makes tags a lot less cluttered.
 
I understand what you mean, though, but I personally believe that no tech, no organisation method can be perfect. People can simply use their eyes to judge the content they see in the results, or exclude group sex tags from their searches. Either way, we do want to strike a balance between the level of tag detail, and simplicity. Cluttered tags aren’t any good either, and are a nightmare for both uploaders the moderators to maintain and enforce with little to no actual benefit.
 
There may be tags that correspond to group pictures, orgies, duos, triples, and so on, which may assist people in further narrowing down the content they wish to see.

Alright, that example was overcomplicated.
 
I can come up with a significantly more likely one:
 
1)Two male characters, one is penetrating the other with their penis, while the second, the one which is being penetrated, uses their hands for penile masturbation
 
tags: male x male, masturbation, anal, sex
 
2)Two male characters, one is penetrating the other with their penis and the same character, the one which is penetrating, uses their tail for anal masturbation.
 
tags: male x male, masturbation, anal, sex
 
3)Two male characters, one is penetrating the other with their tail while the second, the one which is being penetrated, uses their hands for penile masturbation
 
tags: male x male, masturbation, anal, sex
 
This is not extreme specifics, 1) and 2) depict penile anal sex and in the 3) there is no penis used at all. 1) and 3) depict hands being used for masturbation and the 2) instead depicts tail being used for that, and by a different character, but the tags are the same.
 
To differentiate between those 3 situations there is a need for at least two of those three tags:
 
a) penetrating with a penis  
b) penetrating with a tail  
c) masturbating using hands
 
Because if only one of them was added, then:
 
if only a) was added then situations 1) and 2) would still have the same tags
 
if only b) was added the situation 2) and 3) would still have the same tags
 
if only c) was added then situation 1) and 3) would still have the same tags

There was no mutual masturbation situation in my previous example. In this one there isn’t one either.

It is still factual to what is there in the image, so both cases will have ‘anal, vaginal, masturation’ regardless. If an user wants to go into extreme specifics they are advised to make their own galleries, tags are not meant for personal organization.
 
‘Mutual masturbation’ is a tag that can be added for applicable situation.

And what combination of tags would be used if a character that has two tails was using one of them on their own anus and the other on their partner’s vagina?
 
If it would be only “anal, vaginal, masturbation,”. then if the character with two tails had a vagina too, they could use their own tail on their vagina instead of their anus and on their partner’s anus instead of vagina. That combination would be also “anal, vaginal, masturbation” but the situation would be different ;)

What about vaginal? Female dragon/snake/etc. could use their tail to masturbate vaginally. Would it be tagged as “vaginal” + “masturbation”? Then “vaginal” can’t imply “sex” either.
 
And what would be the name of a tag that describes inserting a tail into vaginal or anus, regardless of whether it is sex or masturbation?

No, it’s not possible to achieve the same results without even “anthro on feral” type tags.
 
Example 1)
 

 
This post has “vaginal, anthro, feral, sex, tiger, chicken, cat” but from the tags it can’t be determined if the sex is between two ferals and an anthro is just looking or between a feral and anthro and the other anthro is just looking or between two anthros and a feral is just looking (which is the case).
 
Example 2)
 
 

 
This is a comic where on page 1 two feral dragons are having vaginal sex and a group of male kobolds is just watching, but on the page 3 there is no feral on feral sex, just anthro on feral sex between anthro kobolds and feral dragons. They are both tagged as “sex, kobold, dragon, feral, anthro”
 
Sure, the tags are a bit different, because the first one had “vaginal” and the second one has “oral”, but if only on the page 3 the anthro kobold that is having oral sex with the female feral dragon was having vaginal sex with her instead of oral, and the kobold that is having oral sex with the male dragon wouldn’t be doing that, then the tags regarding this would be identical between those images. Or if the anthro kobolds were having oral sex between each other on the page 1 and one of them would be having vaginal sex with the feral dragon on the page 3 then both images would have oral, vaginal, sex, kobold, dragon, feral, anthro but the situations wouldn’t be the same
 
Example 3)
 

 
This post has “vaginal, anal, feral, anthro, sex, rabbit, dog” but just from those tags it can’t be determined if the feral is the one penetarting or the one penetrated or both. Swapping places of the feral dog and the anthro dog would change nothing in the tags but that wouldn’t be the same thing. The female rabbit could be a feral instead of the dog (they would be then both anthros) and the tags would be the same.

There is a problem with this, because “anal” implies “sex” and masturbation is not sex. You just added the “sex” tag to a solo image >>554 trying to comply to what you just wrote:
 

 
To resolve this, the implication:

needs to be deleted.

Furbooru praises simplicity on it’s tagging system and always will favour root tags to avoid over-specifying and redundancy.
 
None of the tags mentioned above seems applicable to this site given you can still achieve the same searching, filtering and watching results combining said root tags.
 
Eg. vaginal, sex, cat, wolf, anthro, feral would be enough to describe that there is vaginal sex between a cat and wolf, and anthro x feral action.
 
Therefore at least for now these tags are rejected.

So what would be all “anal penetartion” on e621 is either “anal” or “anal insertion” on Derpibooru which complicates things a bit.

Is it safe? The title (SNACKTIME) and tags on FA (vore) make me not sure ;) Does it work like this: vore -> fetish -> not safe? Or not? But is it really vore, the second character is not even in the mouth. In the meantime I used the tags “safe” and imminent vore, but maybe something like implied vore too? I don’t know, those tags need descriptions.
 
For example on Derpibooru there is an image 2260805 tagged as “implied vore” and “questionable” which is only micro swimming in front of an open maw, but then there is image 2194921 tagged with both “imminent vore” and “implied vore” but rated “safe”. By the vore tag description from Derpi:
 

 
it should just be normal vore and not just implied or imminent, because the character is already in the mouth.

On Derpibooru there currenty are tags such as: footjob, hoofjob (and even hind hoofjob), pawjob (hind pawjob) and clawjob.
 
On e621 it’s all under one common tag: footjob (which then is distanced between “double footjob” - one character, two penises and “two-footed footjob” - one character, one penis).
 
How it should be here on Furbooru? If the same as on Derpi, then I think there should be additional tag that would cover all the different “appendage/leg jobs” under it ;)
 
And then what about a situation like this, where it’s not sex between two or more characters but just a single character masturbating? How should that be tagged? If the tag “handjob” is not suitable for masturbation with hands then “pawjob”/“footjob” can’t be suitable for masturbation with legs.
