As someone who isn’t a True Artist, if that’s the whole takeaway you get from people who use AI generated art, you’re missing the point of it all.

As long as any True Artist is still getting money from Patreon or whatever, I have no real obligation to feel sorry for them.

Wish AI images were banned completely. They do nothing but detract from (and are made from uncredited) actual art.

We have proper AI art policy on the works that will come into effect very soon. There will be a proper site announcement when we do so keep an eye out for it.

We have learned plenty from the subject when drafting and implementing AI policy for Derpibooru, the guidelines won’t be the same as from there since we aim to aim to adapt things to Furbooru specifically as much as a possible.

So far though we’re aiming to permit AI Art as long as it is further worked on to be a finalized art piece, so prompt only, low resolution stuff won’t be accepted. We also aim to avoid spam of AI Art.

ai is no exception but it’s hidden away and rarely uploaded - i guess its for the better imo

hmm if someone wants to have their character with 7 sausage fingers, how do we tell them :P
on serious note, maybe automatic that helps artists without tedium practised in animation industry or something unethical af like commissioning artist for sketch or line and using to automatically to color everything instead paying it upward to artist :skull:.

I see. Well at least Furbooru’s standards for art (or “art”) is mercifully low :P

But that leads to a possibly second stupider question: can AI be used to enhance/finalize your art? I.e. you do some drawing, but use AI for the finished details.

I haven’t managed to find anything concerning AI art, but I was curious if, well, AI generated art is allowed on Furbooru. 🤔
