The Jenny seems to relax a bit as the contract verifies his signature and chosen options, compiling it into a copy-protected file that downloads itself onto his device, alongside a file containing the time and address for where he will join the Corporate caravan

Just, ahem” she glances at the cyborg bartender a moment before continuing in a lower voice “please remember to read any contracts and agreements thoroughly before signing; the Corps can’t legally do anything to you without your express written consent. A lot of Corporate contractors work on commission, if you get my drift.”

“7th thats….” She’d grab a tablet looking up the address before continuing. “Alright yeah, let me put my pants back on and I’ll go head over there. Can’t give you an ETA because traffic…and if I do get a tail I’ll have to shake em or deal with it. Whatever you get the idea. I’ll see you around.”
After hanging up that call she’d hop up for real this time, digging around for some clothes. “ARES, get your shotgun. We’re going with that local gang. He says he has a plan, not sure if its a good one just yet but I doubt he’d try to stab me in the back. He’s too busy trying to get in my pants to bother.”

ARES’s progress bar completes and he begins waking back up from his maintenance fugue, his face display booting up in its original, simplistic form before glitching and warping into his more expressive state. He returns Fortuna’s glance, head tilted slightly in an expression of curiosity

She fidgets in her seat, adjusting her tie “Um… m-military contracts in the days of the Wars were known to, um, dog-ear some additional waivers and sub-contracts that weren’t entirely necessary for military service, but were nevertheless there for recruits to sign as part of the draft process…” you can feel the war hound’s gaze on her like a targeting laser- surprisingly, not literally “…but we’re offering you a civilian contract; an office job, working in Corporate cybersecurity and networking, given your portfolio, or…”
Her voice is cracking, not quite out of personal guilt so much as fear of the cyborg. She takes a moment to swallow and calm herself

The source of the voice steps out from the back to approach the bar, its steps loud metallic thumps accompanied by the mechanical whirring of ancient servos. The figure is an imposingly large elderly canine, his head grizzled and scarred, one eye replaced with a mechanical substitute that dominates half his face; his body encased in a powerful support frame with bulky armored plating covering his limbs and torso, an built-in autocannon in a folded position on his back. A decades-old model of combat cyborg from the days of open Corporate warfare; outdated, bulky, inelegant, but not obsolete
“What matters,” the bar’s wooden countertop creaks as he rests his hands atop it “Is the fine print that says what they can take from you.” he glances over to the Jenny “I thought I made it clear to your superiors this was not a Corporate recruitment office.”
You can hear a nervous waver in her voice “I-it’s just a mercenary contract, sir.” she straightens her glasses “He won’t be eligible to become a Corporate employee or shareholder until after he completes- “
“Oh, you can be a shareholder now! Oh that’s just peachy” the old cyborg interrupts with a voice dripping with sarcasm
Meanwhile, the file has finished its verification process, and the contract will now allow him to select his payment options to sign and finalize

Think you can make it look like a regular procession or protest or somesuch until you’re in position and things get hot? I should warn you the gangers might not take kindly toward your flock if they find you associated with us of all people…”
