I disagree on changing the plural eyes into singular as that is very uncommon and looks funny.
The rest seems fine tho.
Not doing it now cause [excuse].
Jokes aside, I’d recommend to do it, even if I am currently the only one having used a few tags in BE, there will probably be a few more in future when taking DB and e6 as reference. Better get it out of the way early.
Alias (BE → AE, all tags which exist in at least one form)
• colour/color
• • coloured sclera → colored sclera
• • coloured pupils → colored pupils
• • coloured → colored
• • coloured wings → colored wings
• • multicoloured wings → multicolored wings
• • partial colour → partial color
• • bicolour eyes → bicolor eyes
• • • Note: The one picture tagged with it is not the common use ofheterochromia. The single pupils are coloured identical but have the two different colours each on their own.
• • colour edit → color edit
• • coloured hooves → colored hooves
• • coloured sketch → colored sketch
• • coloured wingtips → colored wingtips
• • digital colouring → digital coloring
• • flat colour → flat color
• grey/gray
• • grey background → gray background
• • grey fox → gray fox
• • • Note: This is a species tag.
Now transforming above from AE plural to AE singular. Sometimes a character lost a wing or eye, or there’s simply only one visible. While singular won’t exclude the appearance of multiple wings or eyes, etc.
Alias
• colored pupils → colored pupil
• colored wings → colored wing
• multicolored wings → multicolored wing
• bicolor eyes → bicolor eye
• • Note: This one would even help to make specifically clear that it isn’t so-called heterochromia.
• colored hooves → colored hoof
• colored wingtips → colored wingtip
And now for tag typos I found. I fixed them already manually, if noone else did, but I don’t know if you specifically create aliases for those. Probably not, because they don’t look like common misspellings.
Alias
• colored scelra → colored sclera
• colores pupils → colored pupils
I hope you see now from that discussion we had on DB Discord, it takes ages to write that stuff, and probably another few ages for you to implement it. Would probably be much easier if I could do that myself. But okay, I am taking the time for once, I did not sleep, yay.
Edit
Implication
membranous wings → wings
membranous wings → membrane_(anatomy)
bat wings → membranous wings
webbed wings
and I’m not sure further distinction is needed, so I would just alias “membranous wings
” to “webbed wings
”.corgi
-> welsh corgi
veiny cock
-> veiny penis
biting lip
-> lip bite
ball biting
-> balls bite
(or “ball bite” maybe…?)ferret
-> domestic ferret
because there is also other species with the word “ferret” in their name - Black-footed ferret
(Mustela nigripes)cum in vagina
-> creampie
cum in anus
-> anal creampie
Coatis are also referred to in some texts as coatimundis. The name coati or coatimundi is Tupian Indian in origin.
@Moon Flower
Actually there is already tag calledwebbed wings
and I’m not sure further distinction is needed, so I would just alias “membranous wings
” to “webbed wings
”.
Alias |
linework → line art |
lineart → line art |
Note: Line art with space is the orthographically correct way of spelling. |
Edit 2 |
Alias |
wip → work in progress |
Alternatively vice versa. |
Edit 4 |
Alias |
spaulder → armor |
ears laid back → floppy ears |
belly button → navel |
membrane (anatomy)
. It would group a bunch of dissimilar posts and probably serve little purpose. If we did I’d rather we use membrane
instead. Yes it can be things that aren’t anatomical, but they’re so much less likely to get tagged, so that should be the main tag. Likewise I’m gonna leave this alone for now except for aliasing membranous wings -> webbed wings. It’s close enough for now. We can always split it later if there are issues.I also made a mistake, I actually meant to ask for an implication, not an alias: |
implication (not alias) |
light chain → lights |
Due to all the Christmas decoration and stuff. But oh well, I guess alias is okay too. |
winking
+ looking at you
), so alias this too:(uncountable) A fabric with an open diamond-shaped structure; normally used for stockings etc
knee-highs
(…)
alias knee highs → knee-highs
alias knee-high socks → knee-highs
Note: I would prefer the hyphen being included and the main version as it is the correct form orthographically. Somehow tags teach users more than school.
-
” is the better option. Wikipedia uses it: thigh-highs
alias thigh highs → thigh-highs
alias over-knee socks → thigh-highs
Note: I would prefer the hyphen being included as it is the correct form orthographically. Somehow tags teach users more than school.

”. Derpi uses it: gadget hackwrench (chip 'n dale rescure rangers)
-> gadget hackwrench (chip 'n dale: rescue rangers)
- Misspelling. Also remove the former’s implication to the copyright tag chip 'n dale: rescue rangers
and transfer it to the latter character tag. gadget hackwrench (chip 'n dale rescue rangers)
-> gadget hackwrench (chip 'n dale: rescue rangers)
