War is always fun, either to do naughty things in combat or to fight in.

Ok. So, in the war, against aliens, or civil.

Why not both?

Aliens could exist but the war could be more political rather than species based. Kinda like the Star Wars prequels.

So, civil in some places, but alien in others.

Mindless. The faceless swarm. Though their leaders could have some brains.
