An update: While my mother saying she doesn’t want to be alive is always highly alarming, we made it through without incident. She has old wounds relating to stuff that happened at my late great-uncle Gene’s funeral, but that’s all I’m gonna say about it. It’s interesting, that I was just thinking about him a little while ago, and then this happened. Currently, she’s been sleeping for a good while. It’s 5:09AM here and, assuming she’ll be doing okay enough, I plan on heading out for a walk once she gets up and I can see how she’s doing.
I’ve been thinking about vaccines and how I’m honestly pretty thankful that I got listeria. Viruses and the like are always easier to handle the second time around, so I’m soft-vaxxed in that way. Wanting to put even less regulations on food definitely has me worried for the near future. I definitely recommend avoiding fast food and meat and dairy if you can. Recommend frozen stuff - you’re probably good to heat up chicken nuggies and the like. I don’t eat meat but, still need dairy for the calcium afaik.
It’s also useful information that listeria comes from meat and dairy so that, should anyone who reads this thread get it, you’ll know not to eat, say, deli slices of meat again and throw the rest of the package of it out if you come down with it. You’ll obviously make it worse if you eat more of the contaminated thing. I’ll always remember my survival tips so, take this as a reminder that I’m here to help if the need ever arises ::3
