Look the fact of the matter is most communists are not bigots. There are some tankies, but there are also communists who do support economic policies of some communist countries, but are staunchly opposed to bigoted actions of these governments. Communists are very complex and not in agreement over everything. I’m a communist but I have more ideologically in common with Bernie Sanders or even Joe Biden than Kim Jong Un. Nazis are not like this. The bad parts of Nazism are the central tenets, not fringe beliefs of a few groups within it. All Nazis support genocide and bigotry to some degree. Any attempt by them to say otherwise is a complete lie. Even the most moderate ones are completely against any attempts to create equality or help marginalized groups and they support measures to suppress marginalized groups
 
Equating communism to Nazism is wrong because it tries to move the conversation to one of banning radical political opinions instead of banning hate speech. If you think gift economics and public ownership of the means of production are just as bad as genocide, then I think the problem is with your priorities, not the site’s policies

I do think, if it becomes a problem, y’all should probably ban people who do things like defend or deny the Uyghur genocide. As far as I’ve seen, that hasn’t been a problem in this fandom, but I don’t think y’all should keep leftist art safe from banning if it violates other rules. I think even art that uses ableist slurs in disparaging ways, even to make fun of truly awful people, should be banned as well

I get that there’s value in shock humor, like playing Cards against Humanity, ‘cause if the goal is to get other people to agree that it’s bad, then you can affirm your own judgement that it’s bad as well. But for that to work, you gotta avoid thinking that being a terrible person is positive. Dark humor is not saying, “[racial slur], am I right?” and expecting the answer to be “yes.” Everyone’s gotta be in on the joke.
