Hello, thank you for your work on making Furbooru. I do have a concern that a lot of pony art seems to be uploaded here. I do love pony art, but it seems like your work here on the furbooru might be wasted if the site simply turns into Derpibooru 2.0

Hello there!
 
It’s great to receive newcomers!
 
Presently we have 18,711 images in the site and from those only 5,805 are from My Little Pony, so it’s still apparent that despite us being acceptive of pony as it’s furry all the same (depending who you ask any ways) the site is not necessarily overrun with pony.
 
We have been taking great efforts to ensure furry gets the priority but without denying the MLP origins part of the staff has in relation to Derpibooru.
 
I hope you enjoy your staying!

It appears to be someone who hates the series Crash Bandicoot created another account and downvoted all images related to it, I know staffs can track the IP address, right?
 
Downvoting the entire series is just… mean and rude, just some images are ok, but please NOT all images, that’s terrible.  
Track their IP, I want someone to talk with them to “FILTER” the series’ tag if they don’t want to see it, also undo all the downvotes those unnecessary. (And make them say sorry and ban such account for a while)

Ideally you should always do a proper report on instances you believe someone’s breaking the rules, you can report any image and opt to Other and write down your concerns should you not know exactly which rule has been violated.
 
Moderation regards are better suited to the proper channel. We did receive the report afterwards and are working on it.

Just throwing in my opinion here, so dont take this as an attack.
 
I personally downvote a lot of crash bandicoot stuff, however theres a lot i want to see. If i hide an image, i usually downvote it. Banning someone for their opinion is kinda extreme. Now yes, if theres alts involved, ban the alt, but there should be no reason to ban anyone for it.

The problem comes from it being a filterable tag for the blanket content type one doesn’t like; there’s a very easy tool to remove content one doesn’t like from sight, and not using it and instead affecting its score (which affects perception by other users and can even lead to auto-filter) isn’t useful to anyone and just negatively impacts the site and other users.

Right, and i understand that part. If ALL of the crash bandicoot images were downvoted then yeah, thats excessive, but just standard downvote then hide is fairly normal.

I either just downvote or hide things. I don’t want to see it, hide, I think it is actually awful, downvote. I use a filter to otherwise spoiler things I’d prefer to not always see. And because people don’t always tag those, I want to be able to quickly add the right tags. I also don’t hide things from my filter as I want to be able to continue tagging them, the spoiler is just to preserve my sanity.

Agreed. I personally downvote things i just dont like but cant spoiler due to generalized tags, then i hide it. Or, i just hide things with the hide button.

Downvoting instead of filtering is against the rules. Site Rule #4 states that:
 
• If you see images that contain themes you do not like (…) you should add the appropriate tags to your filter.
• Do not indiscriminately downvote images based on their tags and/or content. Instead, filter content you do not wish to see.

Im not gonna hide the tag male just because i dont want to see some images with males. I wont hide pokemon just because of a bunch of other images.
