The bogeyman hugs close against the pitside to dodge the incoming dart, but gets clipped by the needle sinking into its forearm; the shot impales through with the barbed point sinking into it’s face it was trying to cover. As it pulls the arm away, a chunk of the socket where a left eye should be is removed, leaving behind an ugly wound.
Whatever payload the dart rifle’s needles are carrying, despite being removed quickly in a grisly manner, seems to take a notable effect; the creature scales down more cautiously, trying not to lose ahold of it’s grip against the wall.

Continuing its descent, albeit with a weakened climbing grip from the dartshot, the bogeyman scales down after Nyanta and Lillith, partly to use them as cover for blocking any more incoming shots. Getting close, it attempts reaching down to grab one of the two by their hands or face.

Catching Nyanta’s hand, then Lillith’s, whatever this thing is crushes their fingers within the grip of its two hands.
With both of its feet planted firmly into hand-spaces within the wall, it opens its jawful of flat teeth until bizarrely wide, then tries to pull both of them up closer at the same time, but seems to struggle somewhat at this last action.
Catching Nyanta’s hand, then Lillith’s, whatever this thing is crushes their fingers within the grip of its two hands.

Getting wounded once more in the “face”, though to Lillith’s swipes, the bogeyman fails to notice the second dart in time: the needle bites into the roof of it’s mouth, then digs through until cutting through vertebrae. As the dart injects directly into its spinal nerves, the creature’s body goes limp, slumping down, feet stuck against the wall, while both of its hands still have one of Lillith’s & Nyanta’s gripped, though rapidly losing holding strength.
As the two have enough time to grab ahold of the wall again with their free attacking hands, the creature then falls past them, hitting the floor face-first. Inspecting its body found to be covered in black half-grown feathers, Imos sees that the creature was very likely killed; the needle catching most of the impact, being forced further into it’s mouth, while the content-vial had shattered into a mouthful of broken glass.

As the odd mutant lays motionless, it’s neck in general also likely having been broken, Nyanta and Lillith notice something odd; though still pained by it, their smashed fingers are beginning to knit back and slowly heal, right before their eyes, even as the bones were snapped and broken through the skin into gnarled messes…

As the group all make their way down without duress, able to fall and land on their feet safely past the last un-climbable stretch, the creature now laying at the bottom twitches its head a bit, but given the look of bones visibly protruding out the back and sides of its neck, it may be paralyzed below the jaw; it’s still alive, but badly injured and heavily-tranquilized.
