(honestly magic is relatively rare outside the conflict between, the druids and the reptiles, the cards make a bit of an exception, that asidejust about everyone fights primarily with weapons.)

well i was just over the drop at one of the no return points, rest of the group lagged behind because they forgot a grimoire, i take down a flamethrower, then a horde comes, i am busily sinking my halberd into their skulls and that jer comes up and has me by the neck, disables me and props me up like a scarecrow, then i get to wait five minutes while the others can finally be arsed to off my watchers and free me again.

Saltzboi is pretty good, especially with zealot career if you’re playing the second game  
dunno the careers for the first game >.> never got it

(neither did i, but the bounty hunter(?) carreer is great, oneshotting chaos warriors because screw your armor.)

Yeah, I think that’s the one. I can do a mean Slayer Bardin or a pretty solid flamewitch(whatever her name was). Kruber is a solid character but I use him as a bot for heals.

Trolls are irritating all-around. Slayer can stop them quick-fast if played smart.
 
I’m only barely dabbling in Champion difficulty >.> but a smart player should be much better than dumb bots, optimized as my bots may be. Players don’t have pathfinding issues when I get knocked-off cliffs.
