The big thing is to keep roleplaying things out, injecting talking NPCs, hints, witnessed events, or focuses in scenery when necessary to get characters moving, or even chat with participants in DM to find out about what they’d like to see in the RP. You never know what you might find in the process that might seem good enough to incorporate into the goal. :P
I also read tons of shiz all across the web, collect lots of images for illustration (
I use EZgif, Giphy, & Imgur for gifs, as well as Ctrl+print-scan followed by Ctrl-V in MS Paint, followed by embedding the saved image in a private Discord Server to acquire a postable URL for the image. I also use that same server plus a few others as caches to store URLs in), watch lots of videos, and listen to alot of ambient/music I feel I can eventually use for adding or “strengthening flavor” to a scene.
