the metal data pad looks like nothing yiu have seen before. But looks like with some slight fixing it can be restored

She looks up at him from her weapon, which donned a camouflage fitting for outside, although some minor etchings and graffiti remain on the weapon regardless.  
“I am. What’s it to ya?”

The wee lads pile into the ship.  
The derg will remain outside, looking around. He’ll hand off the datapad to be repaired and examined. The blood he’ll test himself to see where it originates.

In the back of his mind he regrets recklessly shredding his old synthbrain. A bit intimidated by this person towering over him, he really could’ve used the emotional dampeners it had been equipped with that he hardly ever used right about now.
 
“I need someone to operate that lightning-rod of a mech hanging outside… I’ll ensure you receive hazard-pay for the job.”

“I thought it was for you. If you’re not using it…then sure.” With that, she’ll remove the magazine from her MG and pull the bolt back, catching the live round mid-air and loading it into the box mag. She sets both down, as she wouldn’t need them inside the big mech. She might need special orders if there are any to give, though.

He shakes his head. “I think she’s going to be upset. I hope I’m wrong. This wasn’t used on an animal.” He’ll toss the blade on-board, then get to work on the datapad.

“The other two forms of bait will be some of the materiels and arms your team had brought, and, well, myself,”
 
“since, the plan in its entirety is that I’ll be confronting them personally first to see if they’re outright hostile. If something happens to me, I want you and the rest of the ground team to evade the aliens, flag the shuttle back down for pickup, then return to the colony.”

“Eeeeeeeehm… I’ll just have to be restored from before we’d departed New Scandia, and I’ll have to be updated on what occurred… Though, if I’m not obliterated outright by the aliens, or for some reason I don’t return back after confronting them, can do me a favor?”

Kat will be aboard the vessel with the rest of the security detail, brought along to escort the eggheads in learning about whatever else is here with them. They’ll have mechs aboard, but not the usual ones.  
There are plenty of folk around, including Olive Riggs for whatever reason, who’s currently being approached by a rat and several short synths, surely much to the dog’s dismay.
