Starting the second series after the first one I painted in 2018 ( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/28211836/ ). I have 8 or 10 of these portraits ready for painting but won’t paint them all in a row, my time is rather fragmented lately and these are easy to sneak inbetween drawings and other projects.
 
Gemsboks are among my very favorite species, so much that if I weren’t a reindeer I’d probably be a gemsbok. Both species are hardy travellers used to extreme weather and I find them both hypnotically beautiful. I’m very pleased with how the nipples came out here, although in order to be faithful to the animal’s anatomy their skin should blur into the fur gradually.
