Reformed Kevin

Aka the Soupling! Small headcanon but after moving to Capricorn Reef, the rest of Chrysalis’s hive got reformed and Thorax was made king of the changelings. Shortly after, with the help of DragonLord Ember, Thorax was able to find the rest of the scattered changelings, including Kevin. While he was sad to leave his beloved marefriend, Maple, he knew he owed it to his hive to go back and go through the Reformation processes, which is kinda like a rehabilitation center for love-sucking changelings to get in touch with their feelings and learn how to share love instead of take it and do evil things. Being the blissfully naive and innocent bug that he is, it didn’t take very long before Kevin was able to metamorph and change into a blindingly colorful love beetle. 

While at the Reformation Camp, Kevin learned quite a few new things, like knitting, badmitten and a love for cooking! His specialty was the large variety of different soups. Cream of Mushroom, Cream of corn, French Onion, Tomato Basil Bisque, Clam chowder, even a hearty cabbage stew! But eventually after getting adjusted to his new form, Kevin was allowed back to continue his quaint little life with his marefriend and soon to be wife….. It took Maple a while to adjust to his pallete change, both culinary and color related, but she still loves her sweet bug eyed lovable dork~

Filled with love and now fully accepted by the pony community so he no longer feared to leave Capricorn Reef, Kevin had a huge drive to give back and give love to every pony he met! He and Maple traveled Equestria and did charity work, even setting up a soup kitchen in Baltimare and Manehatten for the homeless shelters, as well as volunteered at the local schools….. Until Maple got sick. They feared the worse but after going to the doctors, they found out that Maple was pregnant! Putting the soup kitchens in responsible hooves, Maple and Kevin decided to move back to Capricorn Reef and settle down to raise their family.

Present day, Maple and Kevin live in Capricorn reef and own a small Breakfast/Lunch/Brunch restaurant called Soup and Syrup with their two children.
