For those who don’t remember these scene, it was the 100th episode of MLP:FiM during Mathilda’s and Cranky’s wedding, where it was depicted that a random changeling was shown, attending the wedding. He was dubbed “Kevin” by the writers and have even started that he was invited to the wedding, being a “friend of the bride”… youtu.be/SAOTGWaKFDo … So of course I ran with it!

Kevin was apart of Chrysalis’s hive and part of the invasion that wrecked havoc during Cadence’s and Shining’s wedding. After being blown away by a magically love fueled barrier, poor Kevin was ejected from Canterlot and crash landed in the densely wooded area of Tall Tale. He was discovered and nursed back to health by a donkey named Maple!

Maple is the daughter of a lumberjack (And niece of Mathilda) and specializes in making delicious syrup, pancakes and waffles! She has dreams of opening her own restaurant someday and having a large family. While she had coltfriends in the past, none stood the test of times…. or the unrelenting glares of an over protective father. Until one day a strange bug eyed creature crashed in through the front door and barreled through her living room.

It was love at first sight!… kinda. When Kevin opened his eyes, the light seeped in through the busted front door in such a way that it created a heavenly aura around the flustered donkey, causing his little green heart to go pitter patter…. right before getting hit across the face with a frying pan. How… romantic. While hesitant to trust him at first, Maple soon found that Kevin was a delight to have around the house, always willing to lend a helping hand and reach a higher shelf then her short chubby drumsticks could allow. It didn’t take long for butterflies to make a ruckus in her tummy and for Maple to realize that she’s fallen for this clumsy, silly love-struck fool of a changeling.
