I think we can all agree he was lucky to survive whatever caused that.  
I have to admit I didn’t intend for it to be such a severe scar at first, but then it went overboard. Oh well!  
It seems I have yet another character to add to my ever expanding cast of “unnecessary characters I shall never use”. :P
