FIM always had a conservative element to it. Ponyville was kind of that idealized pre-social media community that many people saw being destroyed as they grew up. Many bronies were children before the internet and saw their communities decline due to it. So FIM was a nostalgic throwback to that world they remember.
It kind of is in the name “Make America Great AGAIN”. It’s not pursuing some rational goal to improve society or something like that. It’s pursuing an idealized version of what America was but with any subtelties of how it came to be removed. America became great due to unions and strong government that were able to create a balance of power with the capitalist elite. Not only does MAGA not want to restore that balance they want to make the imbalance even worse.

Stuff like this is one reason why I left the Brony community years ago. So many left were right winger incels who didn’t see how their hate contradicted the shows themes. It was an insane lack of self awareness and reveling in their own hate.

This really makes him look like some kind of hero. Rather than the thin skinned whining loser he actually is. Trump vs Biden really is style vs substance. Trump might have struck a good pose but that doesn’t make him have any more principle nor makes his agenda any less dystopian.
