DeviantArt’s April Fools’ Day 2017 - The Biting Pear of Salamanca - Moon Flower’s Version (20170401)
Where do I start?
Making art of “The Biting Pear of Salamanca” (known in meme culture as the “lol wut pear”) was DeviantArt’s prompt for April Fools’ Day in 2017. As I am somewhat a completionist and want to get badges, I thought that would be easy. Unfortunately, due to my issue of reaching unattainable perfection, this became an undertaking of 3-4 hours with an unintended challenge: Draw as good as possible armed with MSPaint and a Mouse only. (Note how even the text is without the text tool, I rewrote the lines so damn often.)
This picture also documents the first apPEARance (sorry) of what became my current logo and profile picture - some may call it even cutie mark, while that’s a complicated story on its own. I carry that sign around since 2017, it had undergone a few colour changes, though.
I hope you had a laugh at the picture, even if it was only for you thinking that some person wasted hours on a drawing that still turnedd out mediocre.

Yeah, you’re right. I’ve gone through four edits on my pfp and I intend to change it still.
I’d bet that you don’t waste as much time as I do on it.
