Today no one cares anymore if cartoons are increasingly trivial, pointless, badly characterized, samey and with incredibly not funny heavy humor (Don’t get me started on artistic quality, soundtrack and acting…)
They just have to put some characters just cute and appetizing and it’s done, fandom (and they don’t care which) takes care of making them popular, so as to feed them and allow the film to cash in what it can (even if the latter is incredibly ugly, empty and poorly packaged)
