Meta tag category.

Dr Outback

Have you thought of having a meta tag category? a tagging category for tag about the composition and background info of the image such as the media (traditional,digital,3d,photo), color palette (monochrome, limited palette.), year, background, and watermarks.

It could be something to implement, however since it’s additional data, all of the existing uploads wouldn’t really have it. Thanks for the suggestion though, I’ll talk about it with our fellow developers!

I like tags
however since it’s additional data, all of the existing uploads wouldn’t really have it.
For example the tag “simple background” is present on 32.5 k images, this is 21.8% of all currently existing images so this is no small number. On e621 meta tags are displayed on the end of the list of tags and because of this rest of the tags becomes easier to read when somebody looks for tags related to other things on the image so I can see it be useful.
