Those of us not into Pokemon

First off my best friends are hardcore Pokemon enthusiasts. I am just not all that into it despite my passion for anime and American animation.

I like Digimon every once in a while. I will be getting into Yugio after I finish Naruto. I suppose Pokemon is something I got burnt out on as a kid.

Anyone else in the same boat?

While I’m really into Pokemon now, I think there was a time where I got burnt out and just wanted to do new stuff like MLP or Sonic.

Although for me I went into Sonic briefly then months later I have almost no interest in it anymore. Same for Transformers.

So yeah I guess I know what that’s like in other franchises. But I like Naruto!
But others like Animal Crossing or Fire Emblem I have basically no idea at all.

I guess interests shift. Who knows maybe one day you will get back into pokemon and want a break from Digimon

I like some of the character designs but I’ve never felt the franchise to be compelling enough to dedicate large stretches of time to.

Yet I often look back on my past and feel as though not playing the games more as a kid was some sort of mistake on my part. I’ve made attempts to “make up for” all that time I feel like I lost, but I never get very far because I’ve realized that I can experience the franchise vicariously through other means without doing a bunch of grinding.
