Arcadia. An Island Nation currently experiencing rapid cultural, technological, and Political development. A grand liberal kingdom, ruled not by King’s or Queen’s… But by a truely democratic Parliament. In this land, many find themselves able to live life as they wish. Opportunity is everywhere, but the risks are no different. Be you or the Lower Class, the Middle Class, or the Nobility… You will still find many equal opportunities, and face the same dangers.
With the Knights of old becoming quickly irrelevant thanks to the onset of early firearms, there is many a demand for Mercenaries able to think fast and act quicker.
A highly competitive Political hierarchy is ripe for potential career advancements, you’d mind and tongue are sharp enough. One must be willing to partake in backroom dealings and shady business to be successful in the world of modern politics.
Arcadia is an island nation… Trade is impossible without ships. Sailors, Merchants, and Privateers are all the everyday heroes that children and cubs look up to. With proper training and discipline, one could quite literally learn the ropes, and live a fulfilling and (mostly) honest life at sea!
Monsters roam the woods and wild hills, and can prove an incredible danger to traders and travelers alike. It’s dirty and dangerous work… But it pays well, and someone has to do it. If your aim is true enough, or your sword sharp enough, you could give it a try… Although it also helps to be fearless, or crazy, or both.
Of course, opportunity is endless. But the question is…. What will you be?
