2300 Military Time. Rural Siberia, Russia
 
A lone UH-60 Black Hawk touched down in a forest clearing, exactly half a kilometer from a small logging camp. The modified engine, rotors and airframe on the helicopter kept it hidden on radar until the very last minute… And even then, for only half a second. Anvil Operators pile out, and start making their way to the engagement zone. This was gonna be a quick raid, but on site SAMs meant a rapid insertion directly into the camp wasn’t an option. So, Anvil was going to do things a slightly more old fashioned way. With support from Snipers, operators would storm out of the woods and hit the Russian Separatist camp as hard and as fast as possible on foot. CAC was available, courtesy of the Russian Air Force, but would only be on standby once Anvil had secured all VIPs and Intel… They didn’t want to risk burning anything important.

Olive gets into position to rush with the others, gun in hand, waiting for the signal that the marksmen were ready to go, her desire to just get going overpowered by her desire to stay in one piece.

Lexa found a good tree to climb, tying herself to it as she readied her rifle, scoping the area out thoroughly.

She had a clear view of the separatist compound. An old Soviet Garrison town built back during the Stalin days. She saw at least 20 soldiers, armed with surplus Soviet equipment from the 1970s/1980s. She also saw the Anvil Operators, waiting for the order to go.

She grumbled and began looking for anyone who was obviously in command, loading a round into her rifle by pulling on the bolt action. “Anvil Team, standby. We have 2-0 baddies.”

“Command element Hawk-4 to all sniper units. Engage at will, engage at will. Anvil Operators, move in.”

She smiled and took the first shot, blowing some poor bastard’s head wide open with her .50 caliber round. “Move in, Anvil!”

Olive Riggs immediately legged it, running swiftly towards her objective.

Gunfire began to ring out throughout the compound! As snipers provided cover, the Operators made an effort to clear out the area around the buildings where they believed they could source enemy Intelligence.

Lexa grumbled and found another head to pop. Damn, these ones were fighting back.

Riggs reaches the camp, using some cut wood as concealment to fire on hostiles across the way. She’ll scour to find any VIPs here, recalling her training on anti-terror.

No VIPs that she could identify… But the presence of a generator and a desk full of laptops garnerd some attention.

She makes a beeline for the building, gun ready as she begins clearing the room with lethal efficiency.

Sticking to practiced drill was always the best technique when it came to clearing buildings in CQB.

Absolutely; this lass remembers her training on the matter very well, especially having gotten it more than once.

Thankfully, she also wasn’t alone. Anvil Operators worked together in fireteams of 3 or 4 individuals, so she could trust that someone else was always covering her blindspots…

Very good-good. Provided they can get the building cleared, she’ll inspect the laptop desk & generator for traps.

“Seems” is sketchy but Olive Riggs will accept it. She’ll snag the laptops and load them into a bag before getting on the radio and saying she’s bagged potential intelligence, although it wouldn’t shock me if they had some code for this.
