(I looked it up. It is called racking as a slang term. But I stand by it none the less.
 
If I am wrong sorry but the pump is the type and the action is called racking

Racking applies to weapons such as semi automatic rifles. Bolt action can sometimes use the term, and shotguns are often Pump weapons. However, semi auto shotguns can have the Racking term applied to it.
 
Chamber is the correct term overall.

Thank you for the info. I just have always used racking as the word pump as thats how it was described to me…and also I think it sounds cool.
