Been so bored, I had a unique time using virtual machines again.
I had Windows 98 and 95 installed on my own, but it yielded horrific results in terms of lag and whatnot, it just wasn’t utilized properly. So I removed them and got disk images that have the OS pre-instslled.
Now, the problem with that was… I mounted the disk images on my desktop, which if I moved them, would make them unable to launch.
So then I had to move out the hard disk images, open command prompt, and manually remove them from the Virtualbox list cause the devs can’t for some reason allow right click and remove. Nice.
Problem was, it broke Windows 95 when I shifted everything around back to a more streamlined respective folder. So I thought the disk image was faulty now and threw it out, downloaded the clean one, and got the same error in trying to boot it. Looking it up, I had to get this iso, mount it, and run it in the virtual environment to make it run properly now.
Adding to that thanks to the beauty of WinWorldPC, I got Microsoft Office for 95, 98, and 2000, plus Microsoft Plus for 95 and 98 and got them installed.
Pretty much did everything from 3.11 - XP, 7 works but is a bigger pain due to a lack of a legitimate copy. My XP is genuine.
Just like 95 and 98, Windows Me is broken as fuck and I’m planning to get a disk image soon.

jee, I sure wish I could show off what I’d think revolutionary +22nd century infantry weapons’d be like, but there’s so much to it that it’d seem ridiculous to outfit even an entire squad with them, given that they’re so varied yet useful in their own particular ways.
If only there was a way to arm some kinda “testbed” suit with all of them at once, effectively turning a user into a classic FPS protagonist…

As arsenals advanced and diversified throughout and beyond the 21st century, military equipment would evolve to become increasingly more specialized. Redefining conflicts would be waged within and on sea, beneath and on ground, in the air, across space, and within cyberspace, with blistering degrees of variance in all sorts of tactical situations.
Militaries became hyperspecialized superorganisms placing high precedence over communication and calculated oversight to be as efficient as possible. As specialization advanced, the logistics and battlespace challenges grew exponentially. Sophisticated wargame-theory AI were created and utilized, but could only do so much; entire wars across massive theatres could quickly end as critical assets were promptly eliminated, followed up with piecemeal destruction of vulnerable units defeated in detail because of the loss of vital support. To ameliorate this, nation militaries began programs focused on enhancing and variegating the capabilities of highly-empowered individual combatants.
This led to an arms race of multirole cross-training and weaponry, one outstanding creation was the “Arsenal Coat” (AC); wearable weapon suites typically constructed of external reactive armor-weave overlaying an inner layer of smart-gel fiber bundles. Interspersed throughout the interior layer would be an extensive selection of weaponry and gear movable across the AC’s insides before deployment upon prehensile tentacles extended out of orifices formed at any point through the exterior armor. The ordnance of ACs can be highly-varied, yet still substantially well-armed enough to broadly fulfill full mission profiles.
To fluently operate an Arsenal Coat, candidates had to pass harsh and thorough cross-training to fully exercise their wide range of capabilities granted from utilizing so many different devices all at once. Many were unable to complete Arsenal Coat training without cybernetic intuition/intelligence augmentations via direct-neural interfaces that bestowed exceptional multitasking ability, oftentimes culminating into synergized gestalts of Coat wearers and onboard AI into notorious “death choirs” in combat.
