i have today stumbled over an article i couldn’t believe, between 1930 and 1940, there was a genuine “murder Inc.” running around the US-East Coast, and it is apparently, the most successful assasination group in history.  
specifically you know how in media there’s the guy in the coat with the icepick? that’s them.

So, i could use some help with a thread idea. I need 2 assistant GM’s. One needs to be stephan.
 
If you remember the Afterworld thread, this falls into the same universe. It is a make your own adventure, apocalyptic RP with established lore.
 
Now, the idea i have is simple: Before The World Fell: Chapter 1.
 
Before the apocalypse, then we have Afterworld: Chapter 1 put into its own thread, set it up to be worldwide, meaning you could do australia, egypt, southern america (texas, colorado, nevada, louisiana, and arizona). Given theres no established lore for asia as a whole, or south america, or canada and mexico, that will be on the maybe slot.

to note, and this is somewhat important, the pre fall earth was populated by all manner of living beings, mythical beings, and high tech beings, however AI was NOT yet at the level to be called a person. barring the odd experimental one.
 
bioeengineering, massive size construction, weapons themselves were somewhat reasonable with no yields exceeding that of a modern battleship, but put that thing on legs and you have the biggest military walker in the americas.
 
the gods, mainly of the egyptian, greek and norse pantheon DID exist before the fall, though some where in “mortal timeout” meaning they were incarnated in a living being either as punishment or to escape punishment. during the apocalpyse that’s how they dodged their destruction, only the mightiest survived, and an angel/demon pair that took over as divine head honchos.
 
magic exists but is an obscure lost lore, taking long or determined study, so no child prodigies.  
depending on the location it’s between mad max, new roman republic, or second bronze age.
 
and lastly, death can and possibly will happen, but there are a few ways to make sure it’s not game over.

Indeed. There are crystals in large cities handed out by the gods. A large respawn crystal that lucky people are hooked up to. Only downside, you forfeit your soul in the afterlife.
 
To be hooked to one of these, you must be part of a head family, be in the good graces of said family, or be in the graces of a god.
 
None of you will be part of a head family, and will start off with no standing good or bad with any group, or entity.
