once in range, Imos activates his mobile shield, not as good as a pilot particle wall, but it got the job done, seeing as he had taken point.

Imos reaches the pod itself and checks it over, maybe the hatch was stuck entirely, maybe something useful was still inside, or maybe it was wired to blow.

okay, so the pod was in tact but seems to have been abandoned after it served its purpose. It seems to be an IMC one as their is a dog tag on the ground
