the forest got it’s name from being all but plastered in the carved stones, even in daylight said carvings were aglow in soft blue light, there wasn’t a site more sacred in the country, it probably helped that this was the one place where BEars switched from druids to sentinels, the females of the species guarding the forest and presumably their cubs hiding between the trees with unmatched zeal.

she walked through, her face and head uncovered, her blade in view, and hands at her sides. She had to intention of fighting druids, simply finding the stones.

entering one such circle of stones she finds what she knows without doubt she’s looking for, a wyldstone.

it was no secret among druids that Furion and Kae stuck together, though Kae was his protector more than anything. She stayed out of sight until needed

the glow inside the stone circle had shrouded the outside in darkness, Shyanne of course knew someone was there, watching her intently.
 
Furion: “nevermind her, please, there will be no hostility in this circle.”
 
he went to the altar and picked up the stone.
 
“a number of druids escorted these through the land, keeping the rot locked away in the earth, until the kingsguard smashed them… now there is good reason to fear the night, for the banes have woken, they arise in the old ruins, intent on making new ones of the populace.”

If the kings guard were no longer smashing them, would they overtake the rot?

she grasped the wyldstone, picking it up and slipping it into her shirt, presumably into a pocket

he raised his staff and slammed it to the ground, the stone circle bursting into flames as a masked bear stepped from between the trees, armed with clawed gauntlets.
 
she didn’t get much chance to admire the bearserker(i apologize for the pun, couldn’t resist) as it was already leaping for her throat.

her sword came across quick and swift, cleaving most of the way through its neck as she sidestepped to let the body fall

sure enough the berserker didn’t fall, turning with a glare, the wound aflame in the same green fire surrounding the ring.
 
“leave now, you have had your chance.”
 
As the bear complied, another being stepped into the ring, a cheetah, wasting no time sending arrows her way.

she skirted past, quickly sending knives to bury themselves into the cheetah

they embedded in his bow this one fought not with incredible strenght but with swiftness, and swift as one of his arrows he had locked blades with her own.

their swords were locked together in the push to see which would give first, and as if in time with the giggles she began letting out her sword turned sharply, his brushing past her side, cutting her shirt, and hers slicing open his guts

Furion: “i see, you understand yourself as a predator after all, and you certainly hold the skill to match, very well, i would call upon my champion, or perhaps even see if the Grimm beast herself is interested, but you are proven, a predator of the wyld, and the rot shall not rob you from us.”
 
the cheetah, busily gathering up what was spilled scurried away as well as the green flams gathered in furion’s hand, him opening it to reveal a talisman of woven leaves.
 
“carry it on your skin, concealed or open, though i suggest the former, and the rot will leave you untouched.”
