Honestly, the idea that Gay Pride is something the site is considering hiding from non-registered users is enough to make me consider withdrawing my recommendation for this site to other people.

No staff have said theyd do that. Dont overreact to what ive said. I personally think politics shouldnt be forced onto people, and gay pride isnt politics, its just people showing pride.

If anything, just put a spoiler on the politics related stuff. Simple, and it wont hurt anyones beliefs.

Pride is not politics. I highly doubt that pride related tags would ever be hidden/spoilered by the default filter.

I will assume that by “pride” you mean LGBT movements and symbolism. As any other (social) movement and respective symbols, such as flags, they are part of the political spectrum. It would be a double standard to leave it out from that tag. Also, manifestations are a direct political tool for the common citizens after all (thinking about pride parades and rights demonstrations).
 
On the other hand I wouldn’t add politics to the standard filter. There are other tags that would cover non-peaceful political statements in art. Grimdark, grotesque, gore, rape, and whatever else there is in conjunction to political (e.g. “political, gore” which is probably covered by “gore” alone already).

All art is politics, as is pride, because there are in fact some people who are against pride.
 
I would possibly restrict the politics flag to outright politicking (which is hard to define, but maybe “active argument for some political position, generally involving some sort of text or dialog”) or symbols of particular political parties.

I like this badge. It’s super cute.
