Site Promotion on Reddit

I had no idea e621 has this kind of reputation. Commenters on r/furry_irl looked for an alternative but no one mentioned Furbooru. Are people doing anything to get the word out about this site on other furry communities?

We are slowly ramping that up - there’s some things we want to get in place and running before doing that I believe, but yes, we are talking about it and there’s plans in motion. We’re just trying to make sure we scale everything carefully I think.
 
That’s my impression, I’m not actually working on the advertisement of the site, but I see others do it and this is just based on some of their public replies to questions on Discord.

We’re definitely not stopping anyone from linking to the site, but I personally know next to nothing about reddit, so would be lost there.
 
As for “serious efforts” to advertise the site, there are things we want to be sure are in place, tech and mod-wise, before we do any kind of big SEO or “ad” push ourselves, to make sure we don’t jump the gun.
