Is it back when there were no wireless? (24 years ago right?)
I suddenly feel very, very old.
The simple answer is, yes, for the average computer user at home in 1996, wireless was not really an option. The first version of the 802.11 protocol wasn’t even released until 1997, which was also the same year that early 56K dial-up modems started coming on the market.
