Description
Just like the last drawing I posted, the one that had his mother Nika’maar (here), it has been quite some time since I drew my character Lue’maar! Last time I drew Lue’ was this time last year and it was alongside his twin brother Ti’maar (drawing here). As I mentioned in the other drawing, the drawings of Nika’maar from last week and this one of Lue’maar are a pair, and are of them sparring with each other :) Just some friendly mother-son training XD And disclaimer in case it wasn’t obvious, Lue’ here is in his mid 20s and his mother in her mid 40s.
Unlike the other drawing, which had her in her full personal armor, I think this armor that he is wearing in this is just some sparring armor they had around. Eventually when I make him a ref sheet, like the one I made for his twin brother Ti’ (here), I will design Lue’ his own custom armor set like Nika’ and Ti’ have ^^
And while Lue’ and Ti’ typically use spears as their main weapon, they also use a kind of kukri as their sword. So in this he is using a blunt sparring equivalent of his personal sword along with a shield :)

Artwork wise, I’ve actually been pretty happy with my colors lately ^^ I found a technique that I enjoy and I think it looks good in the end :) It’s been good to get to practice with it my last few drawings!
I really love how these last few drawings have looked in general :D Been really enjoying getting new art made :)
And I know I talked about it in my long “7 year art anniversary” journal (here), but it is really fun to look at this latest drawing of Lue’maar and compare it to the first drawing I made of him almost 6 years ago and see how far my art has come since then XD That old drawing is here: www.deviantart.com/titusweiss/…
