When he was alive, all TEMPERANCE longed for was to be a farmer when he grew up. Aside from that, he enjoyed learning about medieval history, especially the lives of the peasants. Even if he pitied their hard-knock lives, he also admired how they were able to bear with the simplicity of their lifestyles. He brought his interests into reality by starting a small vegetable farm and working on it every day. Nothing fancy, just a small farm for produce. Occasionally, he would find flowers to spice up his garden if he felt that it didn’t look pleasing enough. He also started to dress just like a peasant when farming, and that became his work clothes. Some people thought his dreams of becoming an agriculturist were weird, but he didn’t care because he felt that this dream was simple enough to be considered a job. Sometimes, if seed stocks were limited, he wouldn’t grouse; instead, he would simply plant them and save them for his passion: cooking. Even as a spirit, he continues to work hard on creating veggie gardens for his fellow virtues.
 
Summoners are bound to enjoy the simple things in life, even if they’re just daisies in jelly glasses. Sometimes, in the words of Temperance himself, less is better. He’s often seen helping his summoners and friends plant veggies too, and they all don’t mind working for hours on end.
 
Temperance’s emblem is a libra-like scale; symbolizing the fact that we have to balance our lives and we shouldn’t indulge too much. Up to this day, he’s mostly seen wearing his peasant costume and farming away in the spirit realm. Some say you can even hear him whistling medieval tunes as he works. Temperance is also a sucker for orange flowers, especially marigolds and daisies. And while he does have great control over his desires, he can’t help it when Kindness offers him her sushi. It just. Tastes. So. Good.
