There’s a lot of ‘fitting in’ to be had by both parties. The farm’s never hosted a giant bovine (species name pending) before and she’s never descended into ‘tiny’ civilization. Keeping her fed’s a great challenge in itself! I think the farmers ought to be primarily feline because it kind of makes sense they’d run a dairy farm. They love milk and stuff so demand’s got to be high, right? I think such farms ought to be huge; much larger than ours. Gives more of a reason to want to win that lottery to host one of the giants and kick operations into overdrive. If they can handle her and play their cards right they’ll become fabulously wealthy! Or she might bankrupt them on food cost alone. Zootopia has such an impressive art direction that I can’t help but point to it for inspiration. The world itself ought to be much larger than ours, too, but I digress.

I think good ol’ ‘Junior’ will work for the head-honcho of the farm. Or, Jimbo. Or just Jim! He’s something of a nerd. Plenty book-smart but lacking in practical application because he never liked to get his paws dirty. Wasn’t much of a problem what with his folks and farmhands handling things. His folks were very proud that he’d be going to college and he’s determined to make it count. To that end he’s very by-the-book and always wants to have a plan and stick to it like glue. He’s not too fond of thinking on his paws and doesn’t respond well to criticism on account of feeling as though he has something to prove. Jim convinced his father to invest heavily into his vision and for he and his mother to take an extended vacation. They’ll check in from time to time but for the foreseeable future the farm’s existence rides on him making this work. He must succeed.

His father was pleased he was going to college, but only after he learned the degree would be put toward farming. He and junior have butted heads over his son’s apparent disinterest in the industry growing up, but deep down he only wants what’s best for his boy. He has talent! If only he’d recognize it…

Junior knows his way around a farm, sure, but what he wants to do to the family farm is very ambitious. Already production is up but there’s much more to do and expand! The land is there, might as well clear and make use of it. By the time he’s through it’ll be an industrious mega-farm. Crops, dairy; you name it and they’ll have it!

With all those academics there wasn’t much time for Jimbo to be much of a ladies-man. He’s a gentlemanly, timid fellow and is easily flustered. Even averts his eyes from women in swimsuits out of respect! Poor cat has no idea what he’s in for now that he’s won his farm this lottery…

Meanwhile Sophie’s much more outgoing. She belongs to a race of gentle giants that are relatively few in number. They have their own quiet society among the great forests and mountains; both so vast they dwarf even their inhabitants. She longed to see what life is like in the tiny world, only getting bits and pieces of information from visitors, traders and fellow bovines who were permitted to work down there for a time. Sophie has put in several times for a permit to work amongst the tinies. Construction, earth-moving, farming, shipping - she doesn’t mind as long as it gets her down there. She can see the distant, dazzling lights even from the mountains and can’t wait to one day see it for herself.

The glamorous lives of the rich and famous appeal to Sophie greatly. She enjoys perusing magazines with a magnifying glass, even if most of the text is still too small to read. While she is unable to have the cars, penthouses and wealth she can have some luxuries: one being the spotlight. She loves the thought of her presence and stature alone turning heads wherever she goes. Her enthusiasm can get the better of her, however, so she needs to watch her step very carefully!

This is Sophie’s very first opportunity to visit the ‘tiny’ civilization and she’s stoked. Their whole world is very impressive - the fashion especially! Anything but the most practical clothing is of no concern to her secluded people. I figure most of her earnings go toward the very expensive hobby of commissioning custom clothes; particularly a collection of fabulous undergarments.

Sophie’s a headstrong, boisterous young heifer who knows what she’s rockin’ and isn’t afraid to show it. She doesn’t like being told she can’t do something and isn’t above using her assets to their fullest. She enjoys being the center of attention and is a very diligent worker who finds tiny folk, tiny homes and tiny society utterly adorable. The tiny stares most of all. Still, she prefers showing off on her own terms and values her privacy when she gets it. She’s also always hungry and is constantly munching on a truckload of yummy crops. A giant bovine’s metabolism is hyper-efficient, so anything that enters their bellies is totally burned right up. A lot of cow needs a lot of fuel!
