This happened out of nowhere. I sketched a Mega Gardevoir, ended up drawing a Mega Gallade behind her and then started to piece together how I could make it a romantic piece. The two Pokemon were drawn in pencil but everything else is digital - made with the help of a background, brushes and decoration tools found in Manga Studio. I also used a layer by zummerfish for the night sky and starry glimmer on the figures.

Of all the Pokemon, it is so easy to draw a beautiful Gardevoir and Gallade together because of all the Pokemon they are two of the most recognisably human. They have hips, legs and “clothes” that looks like dancers or swordmasters. Their whole look is romantic.

When I drew this I initially had one the Gardevoir that I own, “Lady”. The Gallade I sort of headcanoned to be Wally’s. There is something a little romantic about the fact that Wanda (?) gives you the Mega Gardevoirite while giving the Mega Galladeite to her cousin. While I don’t ship May and Wally or anything like that (Not least because to me all my Mays are parallels of my OC Sapphire May and thus the age difference is beyond creepy), but I totally ship their Pokemon.
