Guild Wars Lore : The Defeat of the Titans
Part of Wooden Potatoes’ ([link]) Guild Wars Lore summary videos ([link]).
After all your shenanigans in Prophecies, a patch introduced more missions for you to do, involving running around and killing all these Titans you’d let out. Also, the Charr leaders. But you don’t actually bother helping to save Ascalon, your childhood home. Because Adelbern can go screw himself, apparently. Later he would in desperation unleash the Foefire so we could have enemies to fight in Guild Wars 2.
This is one of those images I drew while proof preview in Photoshop was off, and I didn’t notice, so when I turned it on everything got super dark. Fixed some of it, but not all! I’d lost interest in PvE at this point, so the details of these missions aren’t too clear for me. I did them. I just don’t remember them. Then again, I barely remember most events in Guild Wars. They don’t exactly resonate with you. Unless you played the game when you were thirteen, I guess. Everyone thinks highly of things they did when they were a kid.
I liked the pose for the Titan here. He’s not too happy. Titans are never happy. I’m not too clear on where they come from or what they are, other than Abaddon uses them for reasons that aren’t too clear. They love killing humans, though. And they have babies when you kill them! And some of them look and sound suspiciously like roller beetles. Hmmmmm….
