Description
Another from my sketchbooks of unused WB cartoon pitches. From 1996 (or so) Minerva’s downbeat but not unhappy single girl’s Christmas Day. Comfy sweater, dumplings & egg nog, then contentedly fast asleep by 8. Idea revived & rendered by awesome @DAlvarezStudio.
It’s not my illustration. The idea was left over from 1996 in one of my sketchbooks from that time. Then as now, most of my sketches of Minerva look like a rat in a dress. Dave Alvarez is the one who took the idea at my request and turned it into the pert portrait here.
One of many random ideas for Animaniacs shorts I wrote up when I had some downtime at WBA between Freakazoid and Superman. I got busy again on the Super shows and never looked at the ideas again until last October.
