Ever notice how her ears are backwards? Her mom’s the same way. That’s either a genetic abnormality, or an adaptive mutation. If it’s the latter, what kind of environment could possibly reward backwards-facing ears? Ideally, you want ears to be able to swivel in order to pick up the movement of an approaching predator… unless there’s no need to swivel your ears because the only predator in your environment is necessarily always behind you when it attacks, almost as if… as if it can’t attack as long as you’re looking at it.
