The poster was meant to be an overall representation of the furry fandom in Latin America, not hinting at any characters or well known furries, although the Mexican mouse was a subtle nod to Speedy Gonzalez of Looney Tunes fame. The panel was created to raise visibility of Latinos within the furry fandom as every day more and more furs hail from countries such as Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Argentina and more, inspiring their own conventions, fursuit making companies, fursuit performers, artists and more.
