I haven’t been around much these past few weeks, thanks to work and the Frankfurt Book Fair happening. But now that the book fair is over, I finally have time to change that. :)
So, as some of you might have realized already, it’s this very image that I took my current icon from. And I drew this picture because … of … reasons … As someone who’s never had a proper fursona (especially not one with fur (or scales)) to put out there, I never really perceived myself as an anthropomorphic animal. But … for some weird reason a lot of people (almost everyone in fact) seems to think I’m a vixen/fox. A red fox, I might add. As to why … well, I guess it’s fairly obvious (I blame my hair colour and my favourite painting subjects - foxes).
Anyway, I simply took that idea and decided to draw something with a fox … who’s an artist … with … red hair. Because … it’s what people want to see, no matter how much I try to explain or deny it, most people will simply see what they want to see. So … let’s just go with the flow and not care.
Plus, I really was in the mood to illustrate something like this. ;)
