Timon was very surprised to see his Ma and Uncle Max, he didn’t think they would follow him all the way to the jungle.
Timon: Ma! Uncle Max!? What are you doing here?!
Pumbaa: Who?
Simba: Whu…?
Ma hugs her little boy
Ma: Oh my Timmy! I knew I shouldn’t have let you go off on your own years ago! I thought you might have been dead or in trouble! My poor baby, don’t worry mommy’s here.
Timon: Ma please..I’m not a kid anymore. I’ve been fine!
Timon argues with his Uncle Max
Timon: Why do you always do this!? Why do you always have to think negatively on everything that I do in my life! You’ve always done that and you still do! I’m an adult now and can my own choices whether you like them or not!
Uncle Max: Because you never make the right decisions! You never think of the consequences of your actions! You never think to yourself that this could be dangerous and stupid!! And besides even if you didn’t take in a carnivore, do you really think you have enough responsibility to even raise a child!
Ma: Uncle Max that’s enough! You have no right to judge him. You both need to calm down.
Timon talks to Simba after Uncle Max embarrasses him
Simba: I just thought it would be best if I let you be alone with your real family for a while. I don’t want to continue making them uncomfortable.
Timon: The only one who is uncomfortable with you is uncle Max. He’s overreacting and being a jerk. He shouldn’t have said that around you.
Simba: But your family was just worrying about you. They probably never been around much predators anyway.
Timon: Max just always thinks badly about me. We never had the..“closest” relationship.
Timon comforts Simba
Timon: I don’t care what anyone says. Especially not my uncle. You’re my cub, it doesn’t matter if we’re not the same species. Don’t let anyone else tell you different.
Uncle Max glaring at Simba
Uncle Max: Ugh..carnivores..
Simba: Excuse you?…
-There’s a reason why Uncle Max is being such a grump here. He’s actually being protective of Timon, because his father was killed by a hyena (another carnivore) and he doesn’t want to see the same thing happen to him. He wants him to be safe and make the best choices he can in his life. Timon’s father was also adventurous and wanted to see if one day he can meet a carnivore that won’t see him as just a meal and prove to Max that meerkats aren’t “eaten by all.”
